It’s almost become a running joke that I’ve written about the same thing – Neuro-sama breaking the Twitch Hype Train record – multiple times. But it’s truly impressive, especially considering she’s an AI VTuber! She broke the record once, then again, and again! This time, her ‘sister’ AI, Evil Neuro, with her own unique personality and voice, led the charge to break the record for the fourth time. And in doing so, she helped her creator, Vedal987, become one of the most popular channels on Twitch ever.
Vedal, after his channel became the third most-subscribed, asked his viewers to stop donating during a live stream with Evil. He explained that his community, and his twin brother’s, had already given them more than enough. Evil disagreed, playfully asking Vedal to let the donations continue, even for a little while longer, arguing it was unfair to stop. This conversation revolved around a special fundraising stream for Neuro’s birthday, which started on December 19, 2025. Viewers add time to a countdown clock by subscribing, and as of now, the stream has about 22 hours remaining.
Okay, so the big subathon hype train finally ended at level 72! It wasn’t a world record, but honestly, it was still amazing to watch Vedal hit over 328,900 subscribers – and that number keeps going up! It’s crazy because Vedal, Neuro, and Evil have now officially passed Jasontheween and Ironmouse to become the third and fourth most-subscribed channels on Twitch. Only Evelone2004 (with almost 460k subs) and KaiCenat (over 1.1 million!) have ever had more. It was a wild ride, and I’m so proud of them!
Neuro-sama and Evil are virtual streamers, often called VTubers, who use artificial intelligence to chat with people on Vedal987’s Twitch channel and play games. Neuro started as a program designed to play the game OSU, but Vedal, the programmer, expanded it into a complex system of AIs. They work by receiving text and voice input from viewers, processing it with an AI language model, and then responding using a computer-generated voice. If you want to understand how they work, I suggest checking out the explainer video by Creative Every Day on YouTube.
The subathon is almost over, and it looks like the group has broken most of the Twitch records they were aiming for. However, their fans are incredibly supportive, so anything could still happen!
