The holiday shopping season for 2025 is now underway, and experts predict record-breaking sales for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Video games are particularly popular this year, so let’s take a look at which titles and consoles Americans are most interested in.
According to a new report from Adobe Analytics, video games and consoles are predicted to be major contributors to holiday spending in the US this year. The report highlights seven popular gaming products expected to be in high demand for the 2025 holiday season.
- Nintendo Switch 2
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X
- Donkey Kong Bananza
- Madden NFL 26
- NBA 2K26
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
Adobe predicts US online holiday shopping will reach $253.4 billion this year (November 1-23), a 5.3% increase from last year.
A new study by the Entertainment Software Association shows parents planning to buy video games as gifts this year expect to spend around $737 on average. While that seems like a lot, video game and console prices have been increasing recently, partly because of things like tariffs.
Even though Black Friday has passed, Cyber Monday sales are happening now at most major stores. A particularly good deal is $50 off the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle, making it available for $450.
