So, I just heard about this new Minecraft mobile game they’re working on! It’s being made with the folks from Candy Crush, which is kinda cool. The bummer is, it doesn’t sound like it’ll be out for a while, and it’s not gonna be available to everyone right away.
Minecraft Blast is a free mobile game where you solve match puzzles in a world inspired by Minecraft. As you play, you can earn rewards to build and upgrade things. The creators, Mojang and King, call it a fun and challenging puzzle adventure with a distinctive blocky style.
Based on what we’ve seen, the game appears to involve clearing blocks – some, like TNT, will be recognizable to Minecraft fans – to earn energy or in-game money. You can then use these earnings to buy buildings and items for your world. We’ve also noticed some classic Minecraft creatures, like Chickens, Zombies, and Creepers, will be included.
I’m so excited about the new Minecraft Legends playtest! Right now, it’s only open to players in Canada and Malaysia, but Mojang has said they’re planning to expand it to more places soon. They picked those two regions specifically because they needed feedback to make the game even better before it officially launches. If you’re in Canada or Malaysia, you can find the playtest on the App Store – it’s available in English in Malaysia, and both English and French in Canada.
Although Minecraft Blast isn’t fully available yet, early players like YouTuber PatarHD have only been able to experience a limited part of the game. Currently, progression stops after the first stage, and any progress from these early tests won’t be saved for the official release. We don’t have a release date for the full game just yet.
