People who attended the show said Von stopped performing at least 10 times during the night. Audience members reported he often walked off stage, needed a producer to help him remember jokes, and had trouble completing his stories. It’s estimated that around one-third of the audience left before the show was over.

Videos shared online depict Von speaking directly to those still present, revealing: āIām going through a difficult month, and Iām working hard to avoid taking my own life.ā
People who attended the show told Menās Journal it was a difficult night, describing it as a āroller coaster.ā One person said, āHe frequently had to stop during the performance because he couldnāt remember how the jokes ended.ā Another attendee added, āHe didnāt seem prepared, and the performance felt messy. He repeated jokes often, seemingly trying to deliver them perfectly for the cameras. This really ruined the atmosphere in the theater.ā
I heard from other people who were at the taping that the set wasn’t going great. Apparently, it took six tries for him to finish just one story, and he seemed really tired and on edge. As of right now, neither Von himself nor Netflix has said anything official about what happened during the taping.
Only a few days before his Netflix taping, Von had a disagreement with the Department of Homeland Security online. It started when the department posted a video on X, beginning with a popular TikTok clip featuring him. Von quickly responded (in a now-deleted post) criticizing the agency for using his image without permission. He claimed they were twisting his opinions and asked them to take the clip down.
