More than a month after rumors began, HBO has officially announced a second actor from the Harry Potter films joining Season 4. Following Jason Isaacs’ appearance in Season 3, another member of the Malfoy family will now be part of the show.
Helena Bonham Carter has officially joined the cast of The White Lotus, as previously reported. Chris Messina, known for his role in Birds of Prey, and Marissa Long will also be appearing in the show.
Marissa Long shared her excitement on Instagram Stories after the announcement, saying she was thrilled and couldn’t contain her feelings.
The cast for the upcoming series is starting to come together. Alexander Ludwig and AJ Michalka were confirmed in December, though their roles haven’t been revealed. Chris Messina from The Mindy Project is also in negotiations to join the show. While his role is still secret, sources say he’ll be playing a significant new character alongside Carter, a part many other actors were hoping to get.
The filming location for the next season of The White Lotus has been confirmed as France. Following shoots at resorts in Hawaii, Sicily, and Thailand, the cast and crew are now preparing to film in France.
I was thrilled to hear the show announce two more guests! Steve Coogan is joining us, and I’m a big fan – you probably know him from movies like Night at the Museum and Tropic Thunder, but I especially loved him in Philomena. They also revealed Caleb Jonte Edwards will be there, and he’s relatively new to the scene – his biggest role so far was a guest spot on the show Black Snow, so he’ll be another fresh face alongside Long, which is always exciting!

They both played members of the Malfoy family: Bonham Carter was Bellatrix Lestrange, and Isaacs played her brother-in-law, Lucius Malfoy. Lucius was married to Narcissa Malfoy (played by the late Helen McCrory), Bellatrix’s sister.
