Following a strong start to the 2025 TV season with The White Lotus Season 3, fans are eagerly anticipating what’s next for Mike White’s popular series. The show is known for its memorable theme song, insightful social commentary, and impressive cast, but also for its stunning locations. Sources say the HBO production is now focusing on selecting the hotels in France that will serve as the backdrop for the next season.
According to Variety, the show is exploring filming locations at high-end hotels in Paris and the French Riviera. Previously, the last three seasons were all filmed at Four Seasons hotels, but HBO isn’t currently partnered with Four Seasons and is now considering other options.
Although no locations have been officially confirmed for the next season (and HBO hasn’t confirmed France as the setting), two hotels in Paris are being considered. However, sources suggest the season will primarily take place in Southern France, with a smaller storyline happening in Paris.
Constructed in 1910 with beautiful Art Nouveau design, this place has hosted famous figures like Pablo Picasso, Charles de Gaulle, and James Joyce. Here’s a glimpse of what it offers:

Another hotel featured in The White Lotus is The Ritz Paris, a luxurious five-star hotel in the heart of Paris. Founded in 1898, it has a rich history and has hosted many famous guests, including Coco Chanel, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Marcel Proust. Here’s a closer look.

According to a recent report, the next season of The White Lotus is expected to begin filming in 2026. While the cast isn’t set yet, it may include well-known actors from the area. After the Season 3 finale aired, creator Mike White hinted he wants to move away from the dramatic, intense style of storytelling seen so far in Season 4, but also teased that there’s still plenty of room for more mysterious deaths in the White Lotus hotels.
