Isn’t it likely that Hallmark provides some insights in “The Way Home”? As suggested by actor Rob Stewart portraying Sam, nothing in the series is what it appears to be – even his character.
If you haven’t caught it amidst all the enigmas, it’s worth noting that Sam appears to be Del’s hidden lover in The Way Home Season 3. He’s the latest arrival in Port Haven and owns property adjacent to the Landry family.
After Jacob’s return and events connected to the pond, it seems clear that a six-month-long romance has likely slipped our notice. However, what can be firmly established is that Sam’s significance in upcoming episodes will undoubtedly increase.
Fans now have just four episodes remaining before the Season 3 conclusion, implying that the true nature of Sam will be unveiled, quite contrary to our initial perceptions.
The Way Home’s Sam teased some major Season 3 finale details
In a chat with Survived the Shows, Stewart revealed that Sam isn’t exactly who people might assume, sparking wild fan theories to intensify.
He went on to say, ‘I’m present in Episode 10.’ He hinted at it being near the suspenseful ending in Episode 10… when he says ‘he isn’t who you think,’ he’s eagerly anticipating Alexandra [Clarke] to unveil her explanation. He knows who he initially believed him to be, but not who he truly is; there are many cliffhangers leading up to the season finale. It’s a real nail-biter.
“A lot of mysteries. Season 4 has a lot to answer for,” he added.
Just as anticipated, none of this has been deciphered yet by us – however, that hasn’t stopped enthusiasts from attempting to make sense of it on their own.
One fan proposed that he might also share the surname “GOODWIN,” given his mother’s maiden name, while another speculated that Vic and Sam are close in age, making it unlikely that they are the same person. The third suggested Cyrus, but with a hint of distaste, adding humorously, “I certainly hope not!” However, it was mentioned that Sam sometimes uses old-fashioned speech occasionally.
Someone suggested that maybe he’s a time-traveler, given how eagerly he wanted the land by the pond. Another person speculated if perhaps his older brother, who ran away when Colton was young, could be involved.
Stewart additionally brings up Season 4, a topic that’s sparked debate following a decline in viewership numbers for the series. At present, there’s no confirmation about more episodes of The Way Home, however, this reference surely indicates a promising outlook.
You’re all set! You can currently watch Seasons 1 and 2 of The Way Home on the app, with new episodes from Season 3 dropping weekly. If you’re in the mood for something similar, don’t forget to check out Virgin River (Season 7), Sullivan’s Crossing (Season 3), or other shows that share the same appeal as Virgin River.
