Although “The Way Home” may have some unrealistic plot twists, a possible revelation in Season 3 might push this popular Hallmark series to its breaking point.
In summary, an engaging TV series revolves around three women (Del, Kat, and Alice) from different generations. They discover a unique ability to traverse time using a pond on their property. What’s even more intriguing is that they can journey back to the past to investigate the unsolved mysteries of their missing or deceased relatives.
To this point, the main source of conflict has been the absence of brother Jacob returning home at the start of Season 3. It’s now been almost nine months since he came back, but we’re still unsure about the events that transpired during his return journey.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but ponder over a potential oversight – the enigmatic baby abandoned in the series premiere. With the showrunners promising revelations by the end of The Way Home Season 3, an intriguing fan theory has sprouted and gained traction… and it seems to have some substance to it.
Alice could be more involved in The Way Home’s twists than first thought
Let’s follow this together. Alice serves as our guide to unraveling the enigmas surrounding the pond, and she plays a crucial role in the entire narrative of The Way Home. At the point we initially encountered her, she was 15 years old, moving through the present-day timeline. However, some viewers speculate that Alice might be harboring a significant secret for Season 3 – possibly being Casey’s grandmother.
The mystery remains due to many unsolved clues, such as the pair who leaped into the pond earlier, whose identities are still unknown. Casey is also a puzzle, with her heritage uncertain. If we connect these two mysteries in the year 1974, it could overturn everything we know.
One Facebook user commented: “Alice won’t be sticking around,” they said. “Before departing, she composes a note, places her ring in a basket with a chain, and leaps with someone. It seems that Evelyn discovers the child, nurtures it, and eventually passes the ring to Casey. This suggests that Casey is Alice’s grandchild.
Although it’s a rather surprising possibility, it might hold some truth. We don’t know whether the baby left at the beginning of Season 1 is male or female. Casey’s connections with the Goodwins make her an oddity in the usual scheme of things… and potentially a threat.
Based on the appearance of the pair who just leaped, they seem strikingly similar to Alice and Rick. This could suggest an intriguing romantic scenario reminiscent of the 1970s.
One major uncertainty remains: Will Hallmark venture into the unknown with their latest TV series? Compared to their previous successes like When Calls the Heart, this new show appears to have a more mature and intense tone. However, featuring multiple generations in complex relationships could potentially push boundaries too much.
