Caution Required: The following discussion reveals plot points from the initial three episodes of “The Traitors” Season 3, which is now available for streaming on Peacock.

In the early moments of “The Traitors” Season 3, some modifications were introduced right from the start. Initially, Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano wasn’t part of the initial team that arrived at the castle. Instead, he made a dramatic entrance wearing a cloak and mask. The group was then given an intriguing choice: if one cast member decided to step forward and shake his hand, he would be added to their team. However, this act would also grant that person the power to immediately eliminate another contestant.

Regardless of the presence of reality TV personalities who didn’t see eye-to-eye, such as Britney Haynes and Danielle Reyes, none felt strongly enough to eliminate someone else or mark them for elimination. Instead, it was decided to part ways with Rob.

Surprisingly enough, it turned out that he hadn’t left at all. (You bet — it was Boston Rob!) As the first episode drew to a close, Alan Cumming ran into him in the woods, revealing that he would be entering the game as a double-crosser, joining the other three who had been picked for the role of Traitors: Danielle Reyes, Bob the Drag Queen and Carolyn Wiger.

Apart from Alan, it was shared with him that they wouldn’t be playing the game individually. Additionally, two veterans of the “Challenge” series, Wes Bergmann (a two-time champion) and Derrick Levasseur (a winner of “Big Brother”), had also joined the team, both being recognized as ‘Faithfuls’.

New episodes of “The Traitors” will debut every Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
