Was it Gabby with her high boots who spotted the Traitors escaping from the wine cellar in the previous episode? This is what we were left wondering, given that she was moving stealthily, much like MJ did last season. In her private reflection, she admits to having heard Danielle’s voice behind the bookcase, but she hastily retreated when no one appeared, understanding that apprehending them could potentially endanger her. Fortunately for the Traitors, there was no one present to catch them as they all awkwardly emerged from the bookcase, looking as if a couple had just finished a clandestine encounter in an airplane bathroom.
However, their escape wasn’t completely unnoticed. Gabby harbored suspicions, and Dylan picked up on some oddities as well. He focused his attention on a secret bookcase room, feeling certain something there had been shifted. Though he didn’t discover any solid proof, Danielle observed him from the sidelines — and with his pursuit of Bob and his growing suspicions, it seems Dylan is the one who’s closest to uncovering the Traitors’ secrets. And they appear aware of this, which might put Dylan in danger.
In a turn of events, three individuals – Alan, resembling Darkwing Duck, calls upon the participants using a bell. He reveals that Jeremy, Nikki, and Ciara are chosen for elimination. They then step into the coffins, with Ciara affirming her loyalty, Nikki attempting to persuade the Traitors by suggesting her strength could boost the prize money, and Jeremy, in an unusual move, pledging to collaborate with the Traitors if spared. However, as Jeremy was ultimately terminated, we cannot determine how his offer would have been received by the other players had he survived.
Before diving into the big surprise, let’s first chat about breakfast. Despite the unexpected twists and turns in this game, there’s one thing we can always rely on: Chrishell will always look stunning. Additionally, Sam Asghari added a stylish touch with his headband, which he claims Britney (not the one you might be thinking of) gifted him. In terms of the game, Robyn suggests incorrectly that there were Traitors in the coffins, and Gabby mentions overhearing Danielle behind the bookcase. Unfortunately, when the bookcase was brought to the table, everyone had a moment where they all claimed they checked out that room, providing no useful information.
It’s worth noting that when Jeremy is found dead, it’s Carolyn who seems most affected. You see, she was the one who ended his life, yet she saw him as part of her Survivor family. She harbors resentment towards Danielle for forcing her into this act. I can’t help but enjoy witnessing such betrayals unfold.
This week’s installment serves to reaffirm the significance of our missions, providing a platform for Alan Cumming’s pooch, Lala, to flaunt her adorable wardrobe. In this episode, Lala, decked out in high fashion, guides us towards a hillside littered with fragments of statues. Our characters are tasked with lifting these pieces and placing them atop the hill, then reconstructing the statues. If they successfully attach a statue head bearing their name to one of the bodies, they receive a shield. This leads me to speculate that perhaps Stonehenge was constructed as part of some ancient equivalent to The Traitors during the Neolithic era.
At the outset of our endeavor, everyone gets ready to depart, each one excited to claim one of the scant seats. Bob the Drag Queen wishes there had been a polite discussion about who should get the protective shields first and that they could have collaborated to determine priorities – an idealistic notion, given the reality of this cutthroat situation (with the exception of Lala). In essence, survival of the fittest rules here.
When we started, everyone rushed to grab a seat. Bob thinks we should’ve talked about who needs protection first and decided together – but this is a dog-eat-dog world (except for Lala), so it’s every man for himself.
After all the participants have gathered and their protective gear has been accounted for, it becomes clear that Ciara, Carolyn (though not exactly), Nikki, Ivar, Robyn, Sam, Gabby, and Derek could be potential targets for violence. As they review this list, Bob the Drag Queen unexpectedly opines that one of the newcomers should have been given a shield since there’s suspicion that one among them is a Traitor. Boston Rob, who indeed is the Traitor among the newcomers, finds this public accusation particularly displeasing, and his forehead vein visibly swells beneath his backward cap as he seethes in front of everyone.
At that point, he stopped believing in Bob and felt it was appropriate for the Faithfuls to experience some change. What he wanted was to surprise Bob the Drag Queen by betraying him, which he intended to do that very night. He shared this plan with us in a private conversation, but knew he couldn’t do it openly without risking losing Carolyn and Danielle’s trust. Instead of taking center stage, he chose to manipulate events from behind the scenes. Back at the castle, he subtly spread the idea among as many people as possible, and once he felt secure in his supporters, he presented the plan to Carolyn and Danielle. Danielle quickly rejected it, but he didn’t argue back; instead, he confided in Carolyn privately that the plan was still a go, regardless of whether Danielle chose to join.
At the meeting, Wes initiates the discussion by mentioning Nikki and suggesting that everyone should consider the possibility that one of the individuals in the coffins was a Traitor. However, Nikki’s allies, Chrishell and Gabby, quickly defend her, reducing the strength of this theory. On the other hand, Derrick proposes Ciara as a potential culprit based on her use of profanity, an argument that I find hard to comprehend.
Before we venture too deep into that topic, Boston Rob boldly intervenes and underlines why he’s a standout figure. “Ever since I arrived,” he states, “there has been one individual who has been directing this entire production.” He then turns his gaze intensely towards his objective. “Bob the Drag Queen,” he declares with pride, and while we anticipated this moment, the execution was beyond exceptional. Bob’s genuine surprise left me astounded, laughter erupting from me, causing me to circle my apartment. Bob’s authentic reaction wasn’t just golden for television, but it served as a powerful accusation against him, exposing the artificiality of every other supposedly “shocked” expression he had delivered up until that point. We got a glimpse of his true shocked expression, emphasizing how insincere the others were.
In a casual manner, let me rephrase: “He asserts, ‘I solemnly swear I’m loyal,’ to which Boston Rob retorts, ‘You’re not.’ However, they continue talking at length. As Boston Rob challenges him, I can’t help but feel uneasy about the success of this plan. If things go wrong and Bob confronts Rob after everything that’s happened, it could be quite a spectacle. Frankly, I might just decide to leave. Fortunately for Rob, Bob’s response is feeble — instead of channeling his strength against Nikki, whose support is growing, he fires back at Rob, which only makes the anti-Bob vote more fragmented. Essentially, he messed up a numbers game.
Dylan Efron speaks up, saying “Bob is a fantastic actor; I knew him growing up,” to which Bob responds, “He’s not that great.” I can’t condone murdering housewives, but I do object to undermining Zac Efron’s abilities. It’s hard to believe someone could watch a movie like “Hairspray” (2007) and spread such disgusting untruths. You’ve lost all respectability. Even Dolores, who has seen full-blown physical fights on “RHONJ“, draws the line here, stating, “That’s not nice.
Throughout these events, Danielle finds herself in a difficult predicament. If she supports Bob, it makes her appear loyal, but it feels like a betrayal of her closest ally. Ultimately, she chooses to stand by her loyal friend.
After the votes were tallied, it turned out that Bob the Drag Queen was eliminated from the game. In hindsight, this might have been the best turn of events for Bob, as he struggled to shine in the competition and was often perceived negatively by the audience. His poor performance in the game, his controversial comments about Dorinda Medley, and his criticism of Zac Efron’s acting skills only served to escalate the backlash against him. It’s for the best that he departed the show now, before things got any worse. Additionally, this departure allows Bob to focus on other pursuits, such as watching “The Iron Claw.” He exited with a dramatic flair, admitting that his previous claims of swearing allegiance to God were false and that he is actually an atheist, which caused quite the commotion among the audience, much like a victory in the Super Bowl.
Beyond that, Bob maintained a refined demeanor during his postgame interview, giving credit to the move as smart gameplay since Boston Rob viewed him as a threat. On the other hand, Danielle experienced an emotional collapse in her confessional, weeping and swearing revenge against Bob’s supposed demise. To make matters more complicated between our traitors, they now face the danger of consuming each other rather than concentrating on eliminating Loyalists. However, Danielle needs to be cautious, particularly since Boston Rob and Carolyn share a strong bond from their Survivor past, and Carolyn appears reluctant to collaborate with her.
In the euphoria of our team’s triumph, I find myself basking in the appreciation for having correctly predicted Bob’s trajectory from the get-go – echoing some parallels to Pilot Pete’s journey last season. However, with my loyalty now seemingly solidified, could it be that I, like Pete, might be given the opportunity to cross over to the Traitors? Only time will unveil this mystery. Meanwhile, as everyone congratulates me on this week’s success, Dolores gives me a nod and says, “Well done, Dylan. And by the way, your brother’s quite the actor.” It seems that in the world of reality TV, family ties hold significant weight, especially among some of the Real Housewives of New Jersey.
