Nintendo has added the classic game The Tower of Druaga and other titles to the NES – Nintendo Classics App, available now for Nintendo Switch Online members.
Originally released in Japanese arcades in 1984, The Tower of Druaga is an action RPG developed by Namco. It later came to the Famicom in Japan in 1985 and is now available on the NES through the Nintendo Classics app, along with two other games. You can watch the launch trailer and find more details on Nintendo’s website.
The Tower of Druaga
Take control of Gil, the hero, and begin his ascent up the tower! Each floor presents a maze where you must find a key to unlock the path to the next level. Your ultimate goal is to defeat Druaga, the tower’s ruler, reach the very top, and rescue Ki. Be careful! Some enemies take multiple hits, but many are instantly deadly. You’ll also lose a life if you’re hit by a spell, touch fire, or run out of time. Lose all your lives, and the game ends. Along the way, discover secret tasks on each floor to earn helpful items like a pickaxe for breaking walls and boots for faster movement. These items are crucial – missing them can lead to unavoidable defeat or getting stuck. Climb carefully and good luck!
