To get fans excited for the new release on Disney+, Disney has created a special 10-hour video! It features… well, The Thing itself, just sitting peacefully on your computer screen – for a surprisingly long time, almost five times longer than the movie it’s promoting. You can watch it now!
Disney has released similar long-form, atmospheric videos before. They’ve included relaxing scenes like the beach house from the Agatha All Along series, a rainy meditation with Daredevil, and even the sound of Wolverine breathing. Now, you can also enjoy a long, looping video of the kitchen inside the Baxter Building and spend time with The Thing…just waiting to see what happens.
‘The Fantastic Four’ Is Finally Coming Home to Disney+

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures
Despite being Marvel Studios‘ highest-grossing film of 2025, The Fantastic Four: First Steps earned a somewhat disappointing $521 million globally. While that’s a significant amount for most films, the high costs of making Marvel movies mean the result wasn’t as strong as expected.
Bringing the Fantastic Four into the Marvel Cinematic Universe was an expensive undertaking, costing at least $200 million to produce. While the movie earned around $260 million at the box office (with Disney taking home roughly half of that), resulting in about $60 million in profit, that’s not the complete financial picture. Marketing expenses need to be considered, and revenue from streaming, home video sales, and merchandise will add significantly to the total. Despite some online chatter about the $521 million box office being a disappointment, The Fantastic Four: First Steps was ultimately a financial success when all revenue streams are accounted for.
The movie is expected to significantly increase its earnings with its release on Disney+. It will likely become the most-watched title on the streaming service for at least a couple of weeks. This will bring in substantial revenue through Disney+’s ad-supported plans, as millions of people watch the film, and it will continue to generate income as long as it’s available on the platform.
In 2026, both Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday are scheduled for release, and both films are expected to be major box office successes.
