It was inevitable that both women would eventually appear on the show. Since Demi and Whitney were featured in the opening credits, it was only a matter of time before they became part of the action. While Demi isn’t fully sharing her thoughts with the cameras just yet, it looks like that’s about to change. Whitney, however, is back to giving full confessionals.
I have to be honest: I’m really drawn to Whitney’s personality. It’s not that I see us becoming close friends, but I’m fascinated by certain types of reality stars, and she fits right in. I especially love watching someone who’s newly sober and genuinely trying to improve, even when they stumble. Or someone who just refuses to follow the usual reality TV rules. That’s Whitney. She always says what’s on her mind, no matter how inappropriate, and she approaches group scenes with such dramatic flair. Her unpredictable behavior is captivating – it’s impossible to look away!
Before they can talk about Whitney, the women need to fill Jessi in on the drama with Jordan’s barbecue. Mayci and Mikayla jokingly criticize Jordan’s affected way of speaking and what they saw as fake tears. Taylor defends him, saying she understood his perspective and that his admission of being controlling actually showed he cared about his wife. Honestly, even I can usually follow the reasoning on this show, but this is going too far. Jessi shares that Jordan has made small improvements, like helping with bedtime, but it’s a very low standard to meet. The whole situation is just depressing.
The moms of MomTok are enjoying a farm visit with baby goats when Taylor shares some exciting news: she’s not expecting a baby, but Dancing With the Stars is considering one of them for the show while they’re all in Los Angeles next week. Jen is thrilled at the possibility and determined to give it her all, even if it’s challenging with a new baby. Meanwhile, Miranda is extending a polite invitation to Whitney’s birthday party to anyone Whitney has had issues with. She believes it’s important to be friendly with everyone, especially since they’ll all be together during the upcoming L.A. press trip. This thoughtful move is why many think Miranda would be a great leader for MomTok – either as CEO or a strategically smart COO.
Mayci and Mikayla are still the producers’ favorites, and the show is giving them plenty of opportunities to explore complex storylines. They’re handling both lighthearted, playful scenes – like a campy detective plot – and deeply emotional ones, such as navigating the lasting effects of past abuse on their current relationships. Mikayla visits Mayci to discuss her therapy for past sexual abuse, explaining that while it’s helping, she still struggles with feelings of shame and anger related to intimacy in her marriage. She’s hoping a new therapy approach will help, and we’ll see that unfold later in the show.
Whitney’s outfit is…unique, to say the least. It’s like she intentionally ignored all fashion rules and went for a completely playful look – think early 2000s kids’ awards show. She’s wearing shorts, a Mickey Mouse t-shirt, and minimal makeup. And the reason for this sudden return to filming? Her team told her it could lead to an opportunity to be on Dancing With the Stars. It’s a wonderfully honest and unexpected move, and I really admire that.
Demi has returned, though with a disclaimer. What we’re seeing from the Hydrojug Influencer Event is labeled as “Cast Footage,” meaning it wasn’t officially filmed by the production crew. Apparently, production wasn’t scheduled that day, but the houseguests filmed everything themselves. I especially like the conversation between Layla and Demi, which was captured from two different angles without either person appearing in the other’s shot. This suggests either skillful filming by Taylor’s sister and mom, or a staged recreation of the event.
Demi nearly apologized to Layla for her behavior at the hangar, but instead doubled down on her story about Jessi and Marciano, and insultingly called Layla ignorant. Taylor quickly pulled Layla away. Back inside, Demi provocatively danced in front of Jessi, which led to Jessi shouting, “You know nothing!” across the room. Taylor kept intervening, while Jen continued to complain that she’d predicted all of this, but no one would listen. The only bright spot was that the dinner rolls looked appetizing.
Next up is Miranda’s birthday party, held at an arcade. The guest list is mostly women, with only a few men present: Layla’s date, Mason (Chase’s brother), Jace, and… Conner. Yes, that Conner. He surprisingly joins in the fun, even donning a blond wig like everyone else, and the moms are so accustomed to him that they say goodbye when Whitney finally pulls him away. Whitney seems surprisingly okay with this, letting Conner chat with the women and even pick out costumes. She herself refuses to wear a wig. When Whitney arrives, a lot of people quickly leave, leaving her and Jen to argue about past disagreements, their friendship with Demi, and who is using whom (Whitney admits she’s focused on her own opportunities). Meanwhile, Jace struggles to eat with a full head of hair, and Mikayla shares that she’s scheduled an EMDR therapy session.
I’m conflicted about how much therapy we’re seeing on the show. It’s positive to witness various therapeutic approaches, and I think it’s great any time someone traditionally seen as ‘tough’ explores their emotions. However, it also feels deeply uncomfortable to me – I immediately worry about patient privacy and potential HIPAA violations. It makes me wonder if these women are receiving adequate, private support beyond what’s filmed, because these are serious issues, and I hope Mikayla is getting more help than just the brief EMDR session and referral we’ve seen.
After their session, she and Jace talked on the couch about trying couples therapy to address their intimacy challenges. Jace is hoping it will help him understand what she’s going through and make her feel less alone in working through her problems. It’s heartbreaking that Mikayla feels she has to deal with the trauma of her past sexual abuse on her own, but I really want them to succeed as a couple.
The MomTok crew, dealing with their usual dramas, ordered Taco Bell and asked Whitney to come over to explain herself. The day before, they’d unanimously voted to bring Taylor back as CEO – someone to aggressively defend the group, since no one else wants to confront problems. Taylor’s known for jumping into arguments! Whitney arrived wearing a t-shirt referencing Britney Spears in 2007, and the confrontation began immediately. Taylor demanded to know why Whitney was there and if it had anything to do with Dancing With the Stars. Whitney could have avoided a lot of stress for everyone by simply admitting that was exactly why and asking if there were any Crunchwrap Supremes left.
However, she doesn’t address the issue directly. Instead, she vents about feeling unsupported during the last vote to bring her back, saying Demi was her only source of support. She then breaks down, saying she’s worn out from trying to fix things with everyone. Mikayla doesn’t let the tears derail the conversation and pushes Whitney to admit she’s only participating for the sake of Dancing with the Stars. Whitney quickly agrees and essentially says she’s not interested in rekindling their friendship. Jessi then wonders how this will work – will Whitney film separately? Whitney calmly announces she plans to start her own family-focused TikTok channel. The announcement causes a hilarious reaction, with everyone sputtering and spraying drinks and snacks everywhere – Baja Blast and Cinnamon Twist crumbs fly across the room!
Whitney dramatically leaves and insists she’s going to be on Dancing With the Stars. It’s a bit of a fantasy, but sometimes believing in yourself really pays off.
