Arnold Schwarzenegger calls The Running Man remake ‘incredible’
Arnold Schwarzenegger has praised the upcoming remake of The Running Man, calling it “incredible.”
Glen Powell recently told ScreenRant that Arnold Schwarzenegger saw the finished movie and loved it. Powell said Schwarzenegger thought the film did a great job of staying true to the spirit of the original.
Sydney Sweeney shared that Arnold Schwarzenegger was thrilled with their adaptation of a Stephen King novel, calling it the first time the author’s original vision had been truly captured on screen. She said he repeatedly told them how ‘incredible’ it was.
Powell mentioned the production was incredibly physically challenging, one of the most demanding projects he’s been involved in. He also noted that Schwarzenegger recognized how much physical strain these kinds of performances require.
I was so thrilled to hear how much he loved the film! He was genuinely blown away and really excited. But the first thing he said to me was that it must have been a tough movie for me to make. He’s done tons of action films, so he understands how physically demanding it is to really commit to those kinds of scenes.
The actor from Top Gun: Maverick also talked about how people don’t always realize how challenging it is to do real stunts. He mentioned that Arnold Schwarzenegger quickly understood how physically demanding these types of films are, saying, “It’s really one of the hardest action movies – it’s just not easy to pull off.”
The film is slated for theatrical release on November 14, 2025.
