The Rock Just Absolutely Roasted Jumanji Co-Star Kevin Hart While Talking About Working With Emily Blunt

Everyone knows Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are close friends. They’ve worked together on several movies, and a big part of their friendship is playfully teasing and joking around with each other – something fans clearly enjoy. Recently, Dwayne Johnson jokingly ribbed Kevin Hart while talking about working with another colleague, Emily Blunt.

Recently, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been promoting his new A24 drama, *The Smashing Machine*, which also stars Emily Blunt – his former co-star from *Jungle Cruise*. The two appeared together in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, where they talked about the film and other projects. During the interview, host Kevin Frazier playfully told Johnson that Blunt was a significant improvement over Kevin Hart, a comment Blunt jokingly agreed with before Johnson responded.

She’s a lot taller, for sure.

Dwayne Johnson is right – Kevin Hart is a pretty short actor! What’s funny isn’t just the joke itself, but that Emily Blunt playfully joined in on teasing him too. You can see the moment from an interview with ET, which was posted on Instagram.

This isn’t the first time Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has playfully teased Kevin Hart recently. Back in August, Johnson jokingly edited Hart’s face onto a video of an owl, making it look like the owl was watching him. More recently, while posing with Shaquille O’Neal, Johnson joked that O’Neal made him look like Kevin Hart because of their significant height difference. It’s clear Johnson enjoys making these jokes, and fans are loving it!

Kevin Hart definitely doesn’t hold back when teasing Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. He jokingly made fun of a minor gym injury Johnson had, and even shared an old photo of Johnson with a dated hairstyle – a jerry curl – to playfully poke fun at him. It was a pretty clever and funny jab!

More on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

Everyone was amazed by Dwayne Johnson’s incredible physical change for ‘The Smashing Machine,’ according to Emily Blunt, who worked with him on the film.

Despite their playful and often funny rivalry, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart genuinely support each other, and that’s likely why they keep collaborating on projects. In fact, they might be working together again soon with a fourth *Jumanji* movie in development. I, for one, can’t wait to see them playfully tease each other on screen again.

For now, fans will have to follow the back-and-forth between them on social media or through other channels. Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt star in *The Smashing Machine*, which comes out in theaters on October 3rd as part of the 2025 movie lineup. I’m also curious to hear what Kevin Hart thinks of the film and how his friend does in it.
