While ‘The Pitt’ consistently impresses with its meticulous details, the medical accuracy of the doctors this season has been questionable. Emergency room work is incredibly demanding, with constant pressure and life-or-death situations. Fortunately, the show still features skilled medical professionals who are capable of providing effective care.
Okay, so as a huge fan, I’ve been watching this season and honestly, it’s been tough to see. It feels like all the characters are dealing with so much personal stuff that it’s really impacting their work. We’re seeing a lot more mistakes, and it’s clear they’re letting their own problems get in the way of giving patients the care they deserve. It’s a bit frustrating to watch, honestly, because they usually nail it!
The Pitt Season 1 Gave Every Character A Chance To Shine
Season one of The Pitt showed us the team at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital. The experienced staff were clearly skilled doctors, nurses, and leaders, but even the new doctors seemed exceptionally talented.
Both Whitaker and Javadi faced difficulties at first – Whitaker with early challenges, and Javadi with a fainting spell when seeing serious injuries. However, they both went on to achieve important successes and gained the admiration of their colleagues and teachers. Meanwhile, the more seasoned doctors, including Robby, Mohan, and Collins, consistently demonstrated their expertise and worth, even under intense pressure.

Whitaker, Javadi, Santos, and King have all joined the training team while still developing their own abilities. However, even with added experience, they’re generally showing a lack of focus, which is impacting the quality of their work.
Javadi is struggling with problems in her relationship with her mother. Santos’s inflated ego and unwillingness to trust doctors like Langdon are causing her to become increasingly withdrawn and upset. King is preoccupied with the stress of her upcoming legal testimony, and even the team’s more experienced members are facing personal difficulties.
Robby is frustrated that Langdon is back and that Dr. Al-Hashimi will be running the ER while he’s on leave. As the shift nears its end, the pressure is increasing, but the doctors aren‘t performing as well as they did at the beginning of the season.
Adding to the existing challenges, we now have Ogilvie and Kwon joining the team. Ogilvie seems to be constantly trying to prove himself to Javadi, and unfortunately, he’s made some concerning errors with patients, often overlooking anything beyond the most obvious symptoms.
Let’s hope that before the end of The Pitt season 2, the characters can prioritize helping their patients instead of getting caught up in their own personal problems. It seems as they become more comfortable with their work, they’re starting to lose focus.
