Laced Records is releasing a vinyl soundtrack for The Outer Worlds 2, and you can pre-order it now.
The soundtrack is available on vinyl for $62. You can choose between a limited-edition colored vinyl or a standard black vinyl version. It includes 44 songs spread across 3 records, with each record dedicated to a different faction. You can pre-order it now at the link provided.
The Outer Worlds 2 is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Steam, the Microsoft Store, and Battle.net), and with Xbox Game Pass. Laced Exclusive Edition featuring three-colour marble-effect LPs
This vinyl soundtrack features 44 tracks from the 2025 sci-fi RPG, The Outer Worlds 2. Each of the two vinyl discs represents one of the game’s major factions. The package includes Art Nouveau-inspired artwork, a wide-spined outer sleeve, and printed inner sleeves. It’s an official release from Obsidian Entertainment, Xbox, and Laced Records, capturing the sounds of Arcadia’s key systems and ideologies.
This collection features three vinyl LPs with beautifully designed packaging inspired by Art Nouveau. The music evokes everyday life in a carefully managed colony, where advancements are tracked, hope is encouraged in a measured way, and any disruptions are handled through official procedures.
Volume 001, titled ‘Truth, Justice, & Dispute Resolution,’ marks the debut of the Earth Directorate’s musical style. The music features grand orchestral pieces combined with subtle electronic sounds, creating a feeling of discovery, inquiry, and the confidence that the challenges facing Arcadia are understood and being addressed.
Volume 2, ‘Wireless Free Arcadia,’ is Auntie’s Choice at its best. It features upbeat music with a classic big band sound, designed to create a positive atmosphere that boosts mood, helps you focus, and keeps you feeling good. Enjoy the freedom and peace of mind it brings – continued enjoyment means it’s working as intended!
Volume 3, titled ‘Mental Enlightenment & Refreshment,’ explores the connection between two groups: the Protectorate and the Order of the Ascendant. The Protectorate maintains power through tradition, strict routines, and organized systems that emphasize discipline, beliefs, and maintaining public order. The Order of the Ascendant, in contrast, favors logical, experimental approaches, prioritizing measurable results over emotional considerations.
The soundtrack for The Outer Worlds 2, created by Oleksa Lozowchuk, Antonio Gradanti, and Jim Bonney, uses a mix of orchestral music, styles reminiscent of a specific time period, and deliberate cultural themes. This reflects the game’s setting: a colony driven by strong goals and the organizations that control it.
