During the week of January 20th to the 26th, “The Night Agent” Season 2 was the most-streamed Netflix show, accumulating a staggering 13.9 million views within its initial four days on the platform.
It’s not surprising that the current season is doing well, considering how popular Season 1 was when it first aired in 2023 – it ranked No. 7 on Netflix’s list of top English-language TV series ever with 98.2 million views within its first 91 days of streaming. However, the launch of Season 2 hasn’t seemed to replicate the success of Season 1, which was watched by 168.7 million hours in just four days before Netflix started measuring viewership in terms of views. If we compare this to the season’s runtime of 8 hours and 11 minutes, it means that Season 1 attracted approximately 20.6 million viewers over its opening weekend, while Season 2 only garnered around 13.9 million.
This week’s top movie across all titles was “Back in Action,” a film featuring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz, which maintained its position at the top for the second week in a row, garnering 46.8 million views.
