The Next Xbox Showcase Is Happening Soon, Here’s What To Expect

In March of 2025, Microsoft hosted its inaugural Xbox Developer Direct event and unveiled Ninja Gaiden 4 and Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, along with other games. However, fans won’t have a long wait to discover more about Microsoft Studios’ future gaming plans, as the next Xbox Expo is set for February.

As reported by IGN, the IGN Fan Fest commencing on February 24 will kick off with an Xbox Showcase. Beyond the unveiling of “Balatro’s upcoming major collaboration,” specifics about what to anticipate are limited, aside from trailers and gameplay previews. Nevertheless, the showcase announcement hints at several unveilings by indie studios like Raw Fury, Team 17, Akapura, 11 Bit, and others.

Last year at an Xbox Showcase event, Microsoft unveiled several new games such as World Of Warcraft: The War Within and Doom: The Dark Ages, along with titles scheduled for release in 2025 like South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Fragpunk, and Fable. Though it’s uncertain which games will be featured in February, we eagerly await more information about the upcoming prequel to the Gears of War franchise, titled Gears of War: E-Day.

It seems Microsoft might be planning to announce more games for PlayStation 5 during their upcoming Xbox Direct event, considering their push to release more titles on that platform. There’s speculation swirling about Halo: The Master Chief Collection potentially joining the lineup on Sony’s console, following the confirmation of Forza Horizon 5 coming to PS5. Additionally, Doom: The Dark Ages and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are also set for release on PlayStation 5 this year.
