The last good game in the Command & Conquer series has received a major update, but not from EA

This year marks the 18th anniversary of the release of the real-time strategy game Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3. Many fans consider it the last truly great game in the Command & Conquer series (and still try to avoid thinking about Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight), so the community has been actively expanding and improving it through player-created modifications for years.

A new patch, called Community Patch, is now available and is quickly becoming essential for anyone playing Red Alert 3.

So, I stumbled across this awesome project that’s basically a fan-made patch for the game. The creators really wanted to make the game even better and add some extra stuff, but they were super careful to keep the original feel and gameplay intact. It’s like they’re enhancing what’s already there instead of changing it completely, which is exactly what I was hoping for!

  1. The mod fixes nearly 700 technical bugs that remained in Red Alert 3 even after all official updates.
  2. The visuals have been refreshed, with improved textures and animations.
  3. Over 150 new maps have been added to the skirmish mode.
  4. The audio has also been enhanced, with many sound effects improved and new voice lines added.
  5. Additionally, several technological objects have been restored that were originally planned by the developers but were cut before release because they were not fully completed in time.

Man, this game took us seven years to make! We poured our hearts and souls into it, and we’re super proud of how it turned out.

The Community Patch significantly enhances and updates the game Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 without changing how it fundamentally plays, making it a great addition for any fan. It’s also very easy to install thanks to a dedicated installer created by the mod’s authors.
