Who has joined the cast of Liminal?
According to Deadline, Vanessa Kirby, known for her role in ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps,’ and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who stars in ‘Wonder Man,’ have been cast in the upcoming film ‘Liminal’.
This film is adapted from the graphic novel Telepaths by J. Michael Straczynski, Steve Epting, and Brian Reber, published by AWA Studios.
After a strange electromagnetic event gives roughly ten percent of the world’s population telepathic abilities, chaos erupts. In Boston, police officers who suddenly develop these powers are tasked with recapturing a prisoner they believe to be guilty, but who quickly becomes a leader and symbol of hope for other telepaths. This prisoner is seen as a hero by his followers, while the police see him as a criminal. The fate of the world might hinge on whether these two sides can find common ground and learn to trust each other.
The upcoming series, Liminal, is written by Justin Rhodes and will be released by Apple Studios. Zach Studin of AWA Studios and Kevin Walsh of The Walsh Company are producing, with J. Michael Straczynski, Scott Epting, Tony Reber, and Ray Angelic serving as executive producers.
Besides her role in Fantastic Four, Kirby is also known for her work on The Crown and as Alanna Mitsopolis, a.k.a. White Widow, in the Mission: Impossible films. She’s also appeared in a number of other movies, including Jupiter Ascending (2015), Me Before You (2016), Hobbs & Shaw (2019), Pieces of a Woman (2020), Napoleon (2023), and Eden (2024), among others.

He recently appeared in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and has two upcoming shows on Netflix: The Adventures of Cliff Booth and Man on Fire. Additionally, his show Wonder Man has been picked up for a second season.
