Brittany Snow, star of the popular Netflix thriller series, shared news about the show’s second season. The series, which debuted over the summer, is based on May Cobb’s novel and follows Sophie and her family as they move to East Texas. The first season was filled with mystery, betrayal, and even murder. Now, Snow has revealed when filming for the next season is expected to start.
I was watching Jimmy Fallon the other night, and Brittany Snow, who’s amazing in The Hunting Wives, let slip that they’re starting filming on the new season in just two weeks! It’s great to hear Netflix is moving so quickly to get everyone back together and give us another season – I can’t wait!
Netflix has reached a deal with Lionsgate for a second season of The Hunting Wives. This means the show will now be a Netflix original and available to viewers worldwide, not just in the U.S.
The Hunting Wives Season 2 Features All-New Original Story
The first season of The Hunting Wives adapts May Cobb’s novel, but also introduces new storylines not found in the book. When the show was renewed, Deadline described the second season as continuing the story with original ideas, picking up right after the dramatic ending of Season 1.
Brittany Snow stars as Sophie O’Neil in the film, alongside Malin Akerman, Jaime Ray Newman, Katie Lowes, Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit, and George Ferrier. Akerman plays Margo, who is married to wealthy businessman Jed Banks (Mulroney). Newman plays Margo’s assistant, Callie, while Jonigkeit plays Sophie’s husband, Graham, and Ferrier is Brad, a charming and attractive character.
After the show The Hunting Wives was officially renewed, the author expressed their excitement about revisiting the characters and promised another thrilling, scandalous, and unpredictable season set in Maple Brook.
Sophie and Margo are estranged, but a shared past and new enemies push them to reunite. As they navigate a world of danger and deception, it becomes unclear whether they are the ones in control, or if they’re being targeted.
The Hunting Wives Season 1 is now streaming on Netflix.
