As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled about “The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy-“, a captivating blend of adventure and strategic role-playing games, masterfully crafted by Kazutaka Kodaka (Danganronpa) and Kotaro Uchikoshi (Zero Escape series). The narrative unfolds in a chilling, suspenseful manner, guiding players towards multiple heart-wrenching conclusions. Special Defense Unit | Newly Introduced Characters
Yugamu Omokage / ‘Teenage Assassin’ – A Young Man with a Deadly Past”
Description: This is Yugamu, a strikingly young individual who has been involved in the deadly profession of assassination long before the war even began. Unlike his family members, all of whom are also assassins, Yugamu holds a unique perspective on taking lives – he believes that doing so should be done with love. His hobbies include activities such as torture and dissection, which may seem gruesome to most.
Kyoshika Magadori, also known as “Ninja Samurai”, is a young warrior who lives in a time far removed from our own. She has no concept of modern concepts such as multiplication tables and instead, she is deeply connected to her sword, the revered Jumonji Holy Sword.
This version maintains the original’s structure while using more common language and simplifying some terms (e.g., “utterly clueless” for “completely ignorant”) to make it easier to read and understand.
Translation: Gaku Maruko, often referred to as “Mood Maker,” is a character who follows his personal inclinations sincerely (in a straightforward manner). Despite being cowardly and self-centered, there’s an authentic charm in his small-mindedness that makes it difficult not to like him. Interestingly, Gaku becomes attentive and caring towards others once he lets his guard down and reveals his genuine feelings for them.
Tsubasa Kawana, also known as “Star Mechanic,” is a young woman who possesses extensive knowledge about machinery and its inner workings. She radiates a vibrant, energetic demeanor, but struggles in high-pressure situations. When she becomes anxious, she experiences bouts of nausea, followed by…
Hiruko Shizuhara, affectionately known as “The Ice Queen,” is the commander of the Special Defense Unit. Her beauty is as chilling as frozen ice, and her emotions seem scarce, making her bluntness a constant. She doesn’t shy away from expressing her thoughts, even if it may ruffle feathers. In combat, she’s as merciless as winter itself, deriving a peculiar satisfaction from dismantling invaders.
The Head or Leader of Sirei / Special Defense Unit is the Commanding Officer of Last Defense Academy. In simpler terms, we can describe him as a small, unusual robot who gives orders to the members of the Special Defense Unit. Under his guidance, Takumi and the rest of the team will be working on eliminating the enigmatic invaders.
Titled Character: Takemaru Yakushiji / “Rough Rider with a Golden Soul”
Description: A classic tough guy who revels in his motorcycle adventures, Takemaru finds life’s true meaning through these thrilling rides. Beneath his gruff exterior lies a kind-hearted soul. Spontaneous, candid, and unwaveringly honorable, he has vowed to never misuse his power by oppressing the vulnerable.
Shoma Ginzaki presents the character “Waste of Space,” a young individual who openly acknowledges having no notable qualities or accomplishments. His self-perception is so low that it registers as -5 on a scale of 1 to 10. He frequently belittles himself and exhibits a persistent pattern of self-deprecation.
Nozomi Kirifuji, or “The Healer”, is a high school student who effortlessly blends compassion with tenacity on the battlefield. She’s deeply invested in the Special Defense Unit’s purpose but appears to conceal certain secrets. It’s peculiar that Nozomi shares a striking resemblance with Takumi’s childhood friend, Karua.
A vibrant and spirited young woman dominating the high school wrestling circuit is Moko Mojiro, often known as the “Cheerful and Lively Super Wrestler.” Her fearlessness and unending vitality make her an inspiring figure for the entire Special Defense Unit. Whenever she encounters a challenge, she confronts it head-on without hesitation. The wrestling life didn’t simply become hers by choice – it was destined for her.
The Second-in-Command of the Nigou / Special Defense Unit is Sirei’s trusted aid, who goes by the name of Sirei’s Assistant – Sirei. This unusual robot has a kind and nurturing disposition, but tends to make unintentional blunders. Despite his occasional lapses, he remains absolutely loyal and subservient towards Sirei.
The title will be published globally on Windows PC via Steam and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in Europe simultaneously by Aniplex Inc. For more information about The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- visit the official website here.
