Okay, so HBO dropped a ton of ‘Where Are They Now’ photos for Euphoria season 3, and it’s getting me so hyped! Sam Levinson has said this season jumps ahead after college, and the pics give us a peek at what everyone’s been up to. Apparently, Rue’s been laying low in Mexico, running from that terrifying Laurie – college definitely wasn’t her focus, it seems! And get this – Nate and Cassie are still together, and engaged?! Honestly, I’m skeptical, but their wedding is apparently a major part of the new season. We’re getting little bits of info every week now, it almost feels like the April 2026 release date is secondary. Just kidding (sort of!). My biggest question still remains: what’s Elliot up to?!
Rue (Zendaya)
According to Levinson, the story picks up with Rue in Mexico, where she owes money to a person named Laurie and is desperately trying to find creative ways to repay her. It seems her journey has led to a personal crisis or a moment of realization – something she likely needs.
Nate (Jacob Elordi)
According to Levinson, Nate is thriving in his new suburban life, and a recent photo from HBO shows him confidently taking charge. Jacob Elordi recently told Gwyneth Paltrow that Nate Jacobs will be a more pleasant character in the third season of Euphoria. Elordi shared in an “Actors on Actors” interview that he just finished filming the new season and that it represents a significant change. However, considering Nate’s past behavior, that wasn’t a difficult goal to achieve.
Cassie (Sydney Sweeney)
According to show creator Levinson, Cassie is struggling more than Nate with the transition to suburban life. He explains that she’s caught up in social media and feels envious of what her former high school classmates seem to have achieved. The ongoing conflict between Cassie and Maddy also remains a key part of the story.
Lexi (Maude Apatow)
According to Levinson, Cassie’s younger sister, Lexi, is pursuing a career in Hollywood. She’s currently working as an assistant to a showrunner portrayed by Sharon Stone, whom he describes as wonderful and a legendary figure. A photo of Lexi shows her on a movie set, surrounded by a large group of background actors – a classic Hollywood scene! It’s all about showbiz.
Maddy (Alexa Demie)
Based on the indistinct figures in Maddy’s photo, it looks like she’s filming on the same Warner Bros. lot in Burbank as Lexi—you can tell by the shape of the soundstage roofs. According to Levinson, Maddy is working at a Hollywood talent agency, assisting a manager, and also pursuing her own projects on the side.
Jules (Hunter Schafer)
Jules is enjoying full-fat Coke while at art school, and people are embracing her carefree spirit. However, according to Levinson, the image she projects isn’t entirely accurate. He explains that Jules is actually quite anxious about her future as a painter and is actively trying to avoid adult responsibilities.
We’ll see how all these crazy kids come together when Euphoria returns to HBO in 2026.
