Ubisoft has had a month of changes, starting with the departure of Marc-Alexis Côté, a long-time executive producer on the Assassin’s Creed series. Côté indicated he didn’t choose to leave the company. Following this, rumors circulated that Julian Gerighty, the executive producer of The Division, was also leaving. Ubisoft has officially stated these rumors are false and hinted that Gerighty will be involved with the development of The Division 3.
Ubisoft confirmed in a social media post that Jean-Christophe Gerighty is still with the company, leading development on several Division projects, including The Division: Resurgence, updates to The Division 2, the upcoming Survivors expansion, and the next installment, The Division 3.

Ubisoft gave fans a sneak peek at their upcoming game, Survivors, and said they’ll share more details shortly.

Gerighty recently hinted that Survivors will be a fresh take on the survival and extraction features found in The Division 2, and promised Ubisoft will be open and honest about its development process.
We’re prioritizing open communication and working with the community as we create this new experience,” said Gerighty. “We’ll keep you closely informed and involved throughout the development process.
Earlier in 2024, Ubisoft launched Battle for Brooklyn, the first major expansion for The Division 2 in five years. Unlike the Assassin’s Creed series, The Division isn’t part of Ubisoft’s new plan to create spin-off games, which also includes Far Cry and Rainbow Six.
