As a big fan of The Division, I’m really excited to hear things are going so well with the third game! Julian Gerighty, the executive producer, recently said it’s really coming together and looking amazing – he even called it a ‘monster,’ which is a fantastic sign. It sounds like we’re in for something special!
During the New Game+ Showcase (as reported by VGC), Julian Gerighty confirmed that The Division 3 is currently in development. He described the game as looking incredibly promising, calling it a ‘monster’ in terms of its potential.
Ubisoft confirmed in 2023 that a third installment of The Division is currently being made, meaning it’s no longer a secret project. According to Massive Entertainment’s creative director, Julian Gerighty, the team is working diligently on a game they believe will be just as significant as the original The Division.
Massive Entertainment recently confirmed that reports of Julien Gerighty leaving Ubisoft were untrue. He’s currently leading development on The Division 3, as well as contributing to both The Division 2: Survivors and the mobile game, The Division: Resurgence. This year also happens to be the 10th anniversary of The Division series.
Currently, there’s no information on when The Division 3 might be released. During the New Game+ Showcase, Microsoft and Obsidian Entertainment also announced that Avowed will be available on PlayStation 5 starting February 17th.
