The Chosen takes over NYC as Season 5 posters & footage hit Times Square

The approaching final meal (The Last Supper) is being heavily promoted, as The Chosen Season 5 gears up for launch. This marketing blitz begins with a dominating presence in Times Square, New York City.

One of the hottest television series currently is “The Chosen”. While American viewers seem to be its largest audience, it’s estimated that over half a billion people worldwide have tuned in to watch this show.

In simple terms, Season 5 is generating a lot of excitement as one of the most anticipated TV shows for the year 2025 due to its intriguing plot. This season promises to portray the significant events that take place during Holy Week, leading towards Jesus’ arrest and setting up his crucifixion in the final season before it.

Fresh episodes are coming next month, initially hitting theaters, followed by them becoming available for free streaming. Already, enthusiastic viewers have been spotting posters and clips in various places.

2. “This is fantastic! Well done! I hope it brings in plenty of spectators,” one person remarked. “To have [the series] showcased on the colossal screens in Times Square, New York City is truly awe-inspiring. My heart swells with happiness,” another wrote.

Kudos to Jonathan, Dallas, and everyone involved, both on and off-screen. Wishing you lots of love and positive vibes,” a third person chimed in.

This series, initially funded through a crowd-sourced campaign, has made quite an achievement as it remains the largest crowdfunded television production to date. To date, it has garnered more than $25 million in donations for its upcoming season 6.

Although a complete Season 5 trailer hasn’t been released yet, that could happen this weekend. On Sunday, February 16, Jenkins is set to discuss plans for the trailer release during a live stream. Most notably (and potentially troubling), it’s rumored he will announce where the planned Chosen spinoffs will be available for streaming – meaning they won’t be free to watch.
