Just two months before Alan Cumming and the cast of Traitors return for a new season, Peacock will be streaming The Celebrity Traitors UK to give American audiences a preview. According to Vulture, all nine episodes will be available starting next Thursday, November 20th. This comes just two weeks after the first season finale in the U.K. drew over 11 million viewers – the largest same-day audience for any TV show in the U.K. this year.
I’m completely hooked on Celebrity Traitors! It’s such a fun twist on the original – instead of regular people, it’s packed with famous faces like Stephen Fry, Paloma Faith, and Jonathan Ross all trying to deceive each other. What I especially love is that the winner doesn’t keep the prize money for themselves; they get to donate it to a charity of their choice! But even with all the celebrities, it still has that same thrilling core concept of Faithfuls trying to figure out who the Traitors are, and Claudia Winkleman is just brilliant as the host, as always.
The UK version of Traitors was a huge success with British viewers. Not only did the finale draw massive ratings, but each episode – shown twice a week – averaged over 10 million viewers when combining those who watched on TV and those who streamed it on BBC’s iPlayer. Overall, the season is expected to have averaged over 15 million viewers per week, making it one of the biggest hits for the broadcaster in years. Similar to Dancing With the Stars in the US, the show particularly resonated with Gen-Z, who were actively tuning in to watch it live.
Fans of The Traitors have a lot to look forward to in the coming months! Peacock has confirmed season four of the U.S. version will premiere on January 8th, and the BBC is planning a UK version to air in early 2026. While a specific date hasn’t been announced for the next season of Traitors UK, it’s likely to arrive in January, as it has in previous years. If that happens, Peacock will probably release it to American audiences shortly after the current U.S. season ends on February 26th. Plus, NBC has also ordered its own version of the show for 2026, meaning Alan Cumming and Claudia Winkleman will likely be busy filming in Scotland for quite some time!
