As I gaze upon this captivating trailer for “The Brutalist,” I find myself awestruck by the extraordinary talent and life experiences that have culminated in its creation. The vision of director Brady Corbet, coupled with the masterful performances of Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, and Joe Alwyn, promises a cinematic experience that will leave audiences spellbound.
As a cinephile excitedly sharing the news, I’m thrilled to announce that A24 has finally unveiled a comprehensive trailer for “The Brutalist,” the highly anticipated directorial work of Brady Corbet. The full trailer dropped this morning following the film’s impressive nomination haul at the Golden Globes yesterday.
In addition to examining Adrien Brody’s compelling portrayal in the movie, the fresh footage highlights the acting skills of Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, and Joe Alwyn. The film, titled “The Brutalist,” revolves around Jewish architect László Toth (Brody), who settles in the U.S. following World War II, only to find his abilities appreciated by the ambitious aristocrat Harrison Lee Van Buren (Pearce).
The latest trailer is based on EbMaster’s unique report regarding the initial distribution strategy for “The Brutalist.” Captured in VistaVision, Corbet’s movie will make its premiere with a restricted 70mm screening in New York and Los Angeles on December 19th. Subsequently, a broader release is scheduled for January.
The film titled ‘The Brutalist’ made its debut at the Venice Film Festival, where its director, Corbet, was awarded the Silver Lion. Throughout autumn, this nearly three-hour drama (with a 15-minute break) garnered numerous positive reviews at both the Toronto International Film Festival and New York Film Festival. In September, A24 secured the rights for distribution.
On Monday, “The Brutalist” undeniably surged ahead as a leading contender in the awards race, snagging nominations for Best Drama Film, Best Lead Actor (Drama) for Brody, Best Supporting Actress for Jones, Best Supporting Actor for Pearce, Original Score, Screenplay, and Director at the Golden Globes. Last week, this remarkable feature was honored as the Film of the Year by the New York Film Critics Circle, with Brody also receiving recognition as the year’s Best Lead Actor.
