So, Square Enix just dropped a bunch of new info and screenshots for The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, and I’m getting super hyped! They’re showing off the ‘Age of Reconstruction’ – looks like a big part of the world – plus details on quests you can do. Apparently, there are these ‘Shrines of Life’ to find, and get this… you can collect cats in the game! Seriously, who doesn’t love collecting cats? It’s shaping up to be a really interesting adventure.
The new details can be found below, via Square Enix.
The game, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, will be available on June 18th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Be sure to watch the release date trailer if you haven’t seen it yet!

Age of Reconstruction
Before Elliot’s time, there was the Age of Reconstruction. It was a difficult era, following a period of great wealth, where the last of humanity struggled to survive among the ruins of the past.
These days, there’s no magic to protect people from the beastmen. The villagers of Littlehope are barely surviving, with few supplies and little to defend themselves. Most have lost hope, but one young man still believes things can get better.
Characters
Heurich
Voiced by: Nobuhiko Okamoto / Daniel Sean Smith
Heurich is an adventurer who comes from the village of Littlehope. He quickly becomes friends with Elliot and shares details about ruins and treasures he’s found during his travels. He’s journeying across the land hoping to find a cure for his childhood friend, Diona, and believes the knowledge he gains will help bring an end to a difficult time for the world.
Diona
Voiced by: Haruka Tomatsu / Katrina Salisbury
This woman grew up with Heurich in Littlehope, but a long-term illness keeps her mostly confined to her home. She’s known and loved by the villagers for her kindness, but she worries constantly about Heurich’s dangerous adventures, which often causes them to argue.
Calotesia
Voiced by: Chiwa Saito / Rebecca Wang
The historian of Littlehope, she’s a friend to both Heurich and Diona. Even with everything falling apart, she’s dedicated to studying history and understanding people. She becomes intrigued by Elliot, noticing his connection to Heurich, and happily shares her knowledge to help him.
System
Accessories
Besides weapons and magicite, Elliot can also equip and switch accessories through the equipment menu whenever needed. These accessories provide helpful benefits during exploration, so choose them based on the challenges of the ruins or enemies you’re up against.
Quests
Throughout the game, you’ll meet people who need assistance. Listen to their problems and complete the tasks they ask of you. Doing so will often reward you with unique items you can’t get any other way.
Start a quest by talking to characters who have a quest marker above their heads. These quests can include collecting items, battling creatures, and completing various other tasks.
Okay, so sometimes as you play, the story moves on and you might find yourself stuck with quests you can’t finish. If you get a message saying that’s happened, definitely try to wrap those quests up before you keep going. It’ll save you a headache later, trust me!
Shrines of Life
Bonus Drops
Okay, so here’s how it works: if I can take down enemies one after another without getting hit, I get a bonus where they drop way more loot! But the second I take damage, the bonus ends. It’s all about keeping that streak going!
Adventuring Diversion: Cat Collecting
Cats are everywhere in Philabieldia, no matter what time period you visit. Elliot can find these cats and deliver them to a traveler who loves cats, earning a reward for each one he brings. After that, Elliot can keep and play with the cats he’s collected.
