
Netflix’s new Western series, The Abandons, hasn’t been well-received by critics, earning a low score on Rotten Tomatoes. Created by Kurt Sutter, who also made Sons of Anarchy, the show is set in 1854 Washington Territory and stars well-known actors like Gillian Anderson from The X-Files and Lena Headey of Game of Thrones.
This seven-part series tells the story of a bitter rivalry between Constance Van Ness, a wealthy woman fighting to maintain her fortune, and Fiona Nolan, a determined mother of four who will stop at nothing to safeguard her family. Despite facing difficult circumstances, Fiona is prepared to fight for everything she’s built.
After receiving 21 reviews, the new film The Abandons has launched with a 29% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Viewers seem to agree, giving it an audience score of around 35%.
