Thai Horror ‘Delivery Man’ Casts Bhumibhat Thavornsiri, Plearnpichaya Komalarajun and Ananda Everingham – EFM (EXCLUSIVE)

The Thai film production company Night Edge Pictures has confirmed its main cast for the upcoming horror-thriller “Delivery Man”. Actors Bhumibhat Thavornsiri, Plearnpichaya Komalarajun, and Ananda Everingham have signed on for the project, according to recent announcements made at Berlin’s European Film Market (EFM).

I had the privilege of being part of a dynamic team at EST N8, responsible for crafting a deal that brings more Asian content to our roster. This includes the success “Sorop” from MD Pictures, the box office sensation “Hutang Nyawa,” and the award-winning Korean action film “Mash Ville.

Step into the gripping world of ‘Delivery Man,’ a cinematic journey that masterfully combines the suspenseful rhythms of Korean cinema with the captivating narratives of Thai storytelling. As your guide through this intriguing tale, I must warn you – this film dives deep into the unsettling realm of stalker culture. The brilliant minds behind this project are the directing duo Ornusa Donsawai and Pun Homchuen, who collaborated with Kongkiat Komesiri to pen the compelling script.

Aim (also known as Thavornsiri) steps into the spotlight for the first time as the protagonist, Guy – a food delivery worker with social awkwardness who becomes fixated on one of his frequent clients. Notably, the actor has previously been seen in “Hunger” and “In Youth We Trust,” both on Netflix.

In this version, the sentence structure is simplified while still maintaining clarity, and the focus is placed on Aim’s new role and previous acting experiences.

Emerging talent Junéi (real name Komalarajun), takes on the part of Sai, an architect who finds himself in Guy’s obsessive gaze. Known for her comedic roles in films like “OMG! Oh My Girl” and “Love Stuck,” this actress is poised to display a more dramatic side in what’s being billed as her most intense character yet.

Completing the main ensemble is Everingham as Sai’s spouse, Dith. This seasoned actor, who has worked with co-writer Komesiri on their successful “Khun Pan” trilogy, lends his rich background in horror to the production, having appeared in genre masterpieces such as “Shutter.

Hans Audric Estialbo, the CEO of Night Edge Pictures based in Bangkok, announced an exciting lineup for ‘Delivery Man’. The trio of Aim, Junéi, and Ananda will bring fresh perspectives to their respective roles, marking a significant departure from previous performances. These unseen portrayals are not to be missed, according to Estialbo, who also oversees production, distribution, and sales for the company. Night Edge Pictures has previously distributed horror films like “Terrifier 3” and “Talk to Me” in Thailand.

The film titled “Delivery Man” is set to commence filming in March, aiming for a debut in early 2026.

2022 saw the establishment of EST Studios, co-founded by Jaeson Ma and Eric Tu. This company is dedicated to showcasing a variety of Asian narratives on a global scale. Their current portfolio encompasses a mix of projects featuring Asian filmmakers and tales, including “Hidden Letters,” which was nominated for an Oscar, and the Toronto-selected production “K-Pops!”.

Established in 2023, N8 – spearheaded by Kris Eiamsakulrat and Rachel Y. Wu – has made its mark on significant Southeast Asian cinema, collaborating on acclaimed films such as the Thai horror sensation “Home For Rent” and Bhutan’s Oscar entry “The Monk and The Gun.” In the pipeline are exciting ventures like “Heals,” a documentary in collaboration with World of Wonder, and “A Useful Ghost,” a chilling supernatural production helmed by Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke.
