Art Attack!”: An in-depth exploration of how the team behind “Terrifier 3” breathed life into gruesome kill scenes and gory effects seen in their latest slasher film. This documentary includes conversations with director Damien Leone, producer Phil Falcone, as well as several cast members, plus exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the movie’s production set.
The making-of documentary comes from Cult Screenings UK, the producers behind Screambox’s “Pennywise: The Story of It,” which explored the development, Tim Curry casting and cult legacy of the 1990 Stephen King miniseries adaptation “It.” Cult Screenings’ other credits include “RoboDoc,” on the creation of Paul Verhoeven’s action satire classic “RoboCop,” and “Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story,” a portrait of the man behind Freddy Krueger.
Gary Smart and John Campopiano led the production and also served as producers for “Art Attack!”, along with Adam Evans and Christopher Griffiths. Erick Opeka, Yolanda Macias, Brandon Hill, and Brad Miska act as executive producers through Cineverse, while Hank Starrs and Laurence Gornall serve in that role for Cult Screenings UK Ltd. The agreement was finalized by Brandon Hill on behalf of Cineverse and Laurence Gornall representing Unannounced Film Company.
‘Art Attack!’ provides a remarkable glimpse into how Damien, Phil, and their team raised the bar on terror for ‘Terrifier 3’. Fans can expect an intimate exploration of the artistry and skill that expanded genre limits and made it the top-grossing film in America,” said Brandon Hill, Cineverse’s acquisitions executive director.
At Cult Screenings UK, Smart expressed their delight about collaborating with Cineverse once more. Notably, they are excited to feature the exceptional work of Damien Leone and his team, who are bringing back the legendary character Art the Clown in ‘Terrifier 3’ on the big screen.
In October, “Terrifier 3” made its debut at the number one spot on the domestic box office, earning a whopping $18.3 million during its opening weekend. This figure surpassed the total earnings of both the first two “Terrifier” movies combined and set a remarkable record for an unrated independent horror film without ratings. To date, it has amassed over $87 million in global box office collections.
