Terminator: Survivors Delayed Yet Again, Multiplayer Co-Op Cut

Ugh, I was really looking forward to Terminator: Survivors! It was originally supposed to come out in 2024, but now it’s been pushed back – looks like we won’t be playing it until sometime after 2025. So frustrating, but hopefully it’ll be worth the wait!

Nacon Studio Milan is currently developing the game. According to creative director Marco Ponte, the delay came after several months of testing and feedback from players. Based on this feedback, the team also decided to remove the multiplayer co-op feature.

Ponte acknowledged this news might be upsetting, but explained it aligns with their strong, unique vision for a post-apocalyptic world.

The game won’t be released as an early-access title, the developer announced. They want players to have a fully finished and refined experience from the very beginning, according to Ponte.

Ponte didn’t share a new release date for Survivors, but confirmed it won’t be launching in 2025. This aligns with most expectations, as the end of the year is approaching.

Nacon plans to hold closed playtests soon, and you can register here for a chance to participate.

We understand everyone is excited, and we’re eager to share what we’ve created. Right now, we just want to thank you for your patience as we work hard to make a game that lives up to the Terminator name,” Ponte stated.

As a big Terminator fan, I was getting worried when Terminator: Survivors got delayed, but it wasn’t the only one! Terminator 2D: No Fate from Bitmap Bureau and Reef Entertainment also faced delays. Thankfully, it finally launched on December 12th, and I’m excited to check it out!
