Tenoch Huerta, who plays Namor, will be in the next Avengers: Doomsday movie. He recently shared his experience meeting Robert Downey Jr. on the set before the film comes out next year.
What did Tenoch Huerta say about meeting Robert Downey Jr.?
In a conversation with El Capipi Perez, Huerta complimented Robert Downey Jr., playfully adding that he still looks great and hasn’t aged a bit.
Okay, so apparently Pedro Pascal is really good-looking, according to Dave Bautista – or, well, that’s what Bautista told the folks at Avengers Updated. But the funny part is how Bautista first saw Pascal on set. He wasn’t in the scene, he’d gone to chat with the directors about the script and just meet them. Then Pascal walked by checking the monitors, and Bautista was completely starstruck! He actually blurted out, and I quote, ‘Damn, I left my kneepads back at the hotel, man!’ It’s just a hilarious, totally relatable reaction to seeing someone that handsome, you know?
The phrase ‘kneepads,’ which initially puzzled a lot of fans, appears to be a direct translation from Spanish that doesn’t quite have an equivalent in English. Some fans believe the star was trying to express how incredibly excited and starstruck he was to meet Robert Downey Jr.
The new Avengers movie, currently titled ‘Doomsday,’ will feature a huge cast. Confirmed stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe include Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Letitia Wright as Shuri/Black Panther, and Paul Rudd as Ant-Man.
The movie will also feature appearances by Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent/John Walker, Tenoch Huerta as Namor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing/Ben Grimm, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Kelsey Grammer as Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast, Lewis Pullman as Bob/Sentry, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Falcon, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
Okay, so I’m seriously excited because a bunch of the original X-Men are returning for the new movie! We’re talking Professor X – Patrick Stewart, of course – and Magneto with Ian McKellen. Plus, Nightcrawler (Alan Cumming!), Mystique played by Rebecca Romijn, Cyclops with James Marsden, and even Gambit, with Channing Tatum, are all set to reappear. It’s going to be a blast from the past!
Avengers: Doomsday is set to release on December 18, 2026.
