In the VCT Pacific Kickoff tournament, teams Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) and DetonatioN FocusMe (DFM) are moving forward after they successfully defeated Team Secret and Global Esports in the lower bracket. Now, RRQ will face off against Nongshim RedForce, who were formerly known as SPG, following their victory in Ascension. Meanwhile, DFM will take on PRX in their next match.
Just eight teams are still competing for the title at the VCT Pacific Kickoff, as well as the chance to qualify for VALORANT Masters Bangkok.

In the initial match, Team Secret triumphed on Lotus against RRQ with a scoreline of 13-9. However, the subsequent maps were controlled by RRQ. They ultimately seized both Pearl and Haven with decisive 13-4 wins, thus winning the series with a final score of 2-1.
Estrella mentioned during the post-match interview that it took us a while to get started, and it seemed like we didn’t perform as well as we typically do. After our loss in Lotus, we decided to focus on our strengths, stay concentrated, and play to our best abilities. The second and third maps went smoothly following this mindset.
Conversely, DFM took control over Global Esports right from the get-go, amassing a significant 10-2 lead in the initial half of Abyss. Despite GE’s valiant efforts to stage a comeback, the difference was insurmountable, and DFM ultimately sealed the map with a final score of 13-8.
In the second match, we found ourselves significantly nearer, with neither team managing a decisive advantage as the game extended into extra time. Nevertheless, with Meiy racking up an impressive four kills in the initial overtime round, DFM seized the initiative and emerged victorious against GE by a score of 14-12, thus clinching the series at 2-0.
Meiy expressed that their upcoming game against Paper Rex may make everyone anxious, but it’s crucial to boost our confidence, play just as we do during practice, and if we can maintain this self-assurance, we will come out victorious.
With this elimination, Team Secret and Global Esports have been removed from the running for Masters Bangkok. In contrast, RRQ and DFM still have a chance; however, they need to place among the top two teams at the Kickoff to earn their spot at the international stage.
