Fans have been waiting for news about the third season of the Paramount+ series, and now there’s a promising update. The action-packed show, created by Taylor Sheridan, is one step closer to returning.
The actors from Lioness have shared that filming for Season 3 is finished! Although Paramount+ hasn’t announced a release date yet, this means the show is likely to return later this year. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the new season since the second season ended in 2024, especially since it took almost a year for the show to be officially renewed in 2025.
That’s a Wrap on Lioness Season 3
James Jordan, who plays a character in the show Lioness, announced on Instagram that filming has finished. He shared a photo from the set with the message, “Thank you Lioness, we did it!” Jill Wagner, another cast member, also posted on Instagram, sharing pictures with her Lioness co-stars and hinting at what fans can expect in the new season, which is now complete.
Trying to sum up the last five months with just 20 photos feels impossible. Every moment has been incredibly special, and I know I’m in a really wonderful phase of life, so I’m fully embracing it. I also want to say how much I love the cast and crew of my current project – they’re the best!
She shared her gratitude, expressing her love for the creator of the show and the wonderful people of Texas who were so kind to her and her family. She also thanked her supportive friends who understand the challenges of her work, and her family who encourage her dreams. Ultimately, she credited her faith in Jesus Christ for giving her the strength to persevere, and said she’s discovering her purpose each day.
Zoe Saldana Leads the Cats of Lioness
The thrilling new series, Lioness, stars Zoe Saldana as Joe McNamara, a CIA officer who leads a team of female undercover agents called the Lionesses. The cast also includes Jordan, Wagner, Laysla De Oliveira, Dave Annable, LaMonica Garrett, Austin Hebert, Jonah Wharton, Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Kirk Acevedo, and Genesis Rodriguez.
Fans of Taylor Sheridan’s shows will be happy to see some returning actors. Elizaveta Neretin, known for her role in Mayor of Kingstown, will be featured prominently. Ian Bohen, who starred in Yellowstone, will also appear, and he’s previously worked with Sheridan on the films Wind River and Sicario: Day of the Soldado.
