Talon & Gen. G Send GE & RRQ To Kickoff Pacific Lower Bracket

On Day 4 of the VCT Pacific tournament, Gen.G and Talon have moved forward to the Upper Semifinals following their victories against Global Esports and RRQ respectively. Global Esports now face DFM, while RRQ will battle it out with Team Secret as they initiate their Lower Bracket journey.

Initially, Global Esports displayed a powerful playstyle on the initial map, Split, ending with a decisive 13-6 victory. Abyss appeared to be evenly matched until Talon took control during the second half, resulting in a lopsided 13-9 win and forcing the series to a third map. The final battle on Lotus was tight, but Talon eventually triumphed with a score of 13-8, securing the series with a 2-1 victory.

Instead of choosing a duelist, Primmie unexpectedly opted to play Tejo in Split. It was something of a balance—it worked, but he also desired to do it.

On one hand, RRQ captured the initial map, Fracture, convincingly by winning 13-6. But, Gen.G leveled the competition on the scoreboard with a triumph on Lotus. The last map, Haven, was particularly thrilling as it extended into overtime. In the end, Gen.G narrowly bested RRQ with a 14-12 score, resulting in a series victory of 2-1 for Gen.G.

Foxy9 commented that the match against RRQ was tough, as they are a formidable team.”

“Call me Chill9, everyone, and let’s all relax about the first map outcome.
