As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia as I hear about the imminent release of Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter. The original game was one of those hidden gems that I stumbled upon during a Steam sale back in 2021, and it quickly became one of my favorites. The combination of side-scrolling RPG action, charming characters, and a unique setting had me hooked from the very beginning.
Now, four years later, I’m thrilled to see that the sequel is finally on its way! I’ve been eagerly awaiting any news about this game ever since I finished the first one, and I must say, it feels like Christmas came early this year when they announced the release date.
I can’t help but feel a bit envious of those who will get to experience Tails of Iron 2 for the very first time. But, as always, I’ll be there on day one, ready to dive back into the world of Ratdom and uncover its secrets once again. And let’s not forget, this time around I’ve got some extra coin in my pocket to splurge on that Deluxe Edition with all those fancy hairstyles and armor sets!
On a side note, I can’t help but wonder if the developers have included any easter eggs or callbacks to the first game. I mean, I wouldn’t put it past them to sneak in a secret level or two for us die-hard fans. We’ll just have to wait and see when Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter drops on January 28th!
Oh, and as a final thought, I can’t help but ponder if the developers are aware that their game is releasing in the same month as another highly anticipated RPG – Baldur’s Gate III. Maybe they’re trying to steal some of its thunder by sneakily moving up the release date? Only time will tell!
The publishing house, United Label, along with developer Odd Bug Studio, have revealed that “Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter” is set to debut on January 28th. Originally scheduled for a release in February, the sequel to this side-scrolling RPG has quietly moved up its launch date and will now be available during the last week of January.
You can now pre-purchase the game on various platforms: Nintendo Switch eShop, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Steam. On these storefronts, you’ll find two versions available – the standard edition at $24.99 and the Deluxe Edition at $29.99. Early birds will benefit from some discounts. The Deluxe Edition comes with extra content such as hairstyle and armor DLC.
Tails of Iron 2: Frosttails in Winter is set to launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam and Epic).
