Taco Bell debut sparks hours-long lines in small Canada town

Mount Pearl city officials warned drivers to expect delays near the new fast food restaurant. Long lines are causing traffic to build up on Commonwealth Avenue, especially around the intersection with Smallwood Drive.

The city reported that long lines at the drive-thru on opening day stretched onto nearby streets due to high demand.

Many customers first discovered the brand while traveling outside of Newfoundland and Labrador, particularly during trips to the United States and Halifax.
