Sydney Sweeney’s Gritty New R-Rated Flop Officially Releases On Streaming Next Month For Big Comeback

Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a 67% rating based on reviews from critics. In a review for ScreenRant, Christy LaBonte praised Haley Sweeney, noting her strong physical performance and ability to embody the character’s strength. However, LaBonte also felt the film felt disjointed, like it was trying to be two different stories at once, which prevented the main character from feeling fully developed. The review ultimately gave the film a score of 5 out of 10.

Despite not doing well in theaters, the movie Christy received a very positive 95% audience score on Popcornmeter, indicating viewers enjoyed it more than critics. This suggests it might find a larger audience now that it’s available on HBO Max.
