Despite the legal issues between Blake Lively and her co-star Justin Baldoni, Lively’s upcoming film has announced its world premiere. The follow-up to Paul Feig’s 2018 movie, titled “Another Simple Favor,” will debut at SXSW 2025 on March 7. In this sequel to “A Simple Favor,” characters Stephanie (played by Anna Kendrick) and Emily (portrayed by Lively) are off to Capri for Emily’s wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman. As hinted in a press release, the story promises glamour, murder, and betrayal. A poster shared by Feig also suggests that gin martinis will be involved in the mix.
2025’s SXSW festival will be held in Austin, Texas from March 7th to March 15th, sans military partnerships. In a statement, director Feig expressed his excitement for the return to his favorite global event, where he launched “Bridesmaids” and “Spy”. He shared that it’s an honor for his film to open the festival and hinted at revisiting these characters due to their infectious fun. Lively is rumored to be part of the cast joining Feig to screen “Another Simple Favor” before the SXSW audience. The movie will then become available on Prime Video on May 1st. Could this mark Lively’s first press tour since “It Ends With Us”?
