Swagg slams new Warzone meta tactic turning the game into a “joke”

As a dedicated Warzone player with countless hours under my belt, I can’t help but feel exasperated by the current state of affairs, particularly the overuse of gas grenades. It seems like every match ends with an onslaught of these lethal projectiles, and it’s becoming increasingly frustrating.

FaZe Clan’s player Swagg expressed that the ongoing situation in Warzone feels like a “joke” because he consistently loses games due to being overwhelmed with gas grenades.

Initially, integrating Black Ops 6 into Warzone encountered several bumps along the road, primarily because of the cheating problems that Warzone has been grappling with, and to add to it, gamers have expressed discontent over certain strategies being used within the game.

The strategic use of equipment, particularly grenades, plays a crucial role in determining the outcome of a Warzone game. Mastering when to save and deploy these explosives is an essential skill on its own.

After just a month into Warzone’s first season, gas grenades have become one of the most effective tools in the game, causing even prominent Warzone developers such as Swagg to express frustration.

Gas grenade spam is the go-to strategy in Warzone

On his Twitch broadcast on December 21st, Swagg and his team repeatedly lost their Warzone matches due to a continuous assault of lethal and tactical gear, primarily gas grenades, from their opponents.

In a video shared on the Nuke Squad’s Twitter account, Swagg and his group suffered defeat against an opponent who used gas grenades from high ground. This led Swagg to remove his headset and express his frustration by saying “Man, this game is just ridiculous.

It’s not just Swagg who is displeased with gas grenades in Warzone; Symfuhny also shares the sentiment, expressing his desire for their removal with the statement “Gas nades and battle ready too”. This comes in response to Call of Duty’s announcement that live pings have been turned off in Warzone ranked.

The importance of being “Battle Ready” is highlighted since the Wildcard option Warzone enhances the potency of the gas grenade strategy. This enhancement arises from the fact that players are given a Utility Box with their loadout in this mode, which can be utilized to restore lethal and tactical grenades, ammunition, and armor plates.

A snippet from Swagg’s live broadcast, shared on the Nuke Squad Twitter, displayed an analogous scenario where Swagg met his demise due to repeated grenade attacks. The witty comment accompanying it read, “We’re all about those Battle-Ready Utility Boxes!

It’s clear some gameplay changes are needed to make Warzone a less frustrating experience for players, but removing cheaters from the game should remain the priority.
