The British company, Blue Finch Films, has obtained global distribution rights for the movie titled “Bury the Devil.” This is a single-shot supernatural horror-thriller that recently finished filming at a secluded location in Canada. Blue Finch will start selling this project during the upcoming European Film Market in Berlin.
As a movie critic, I found myself drawn into the chilling narrative of a home invasion story with a supernatural twist, where the protagonist is a nurse unraveling the enigmatic past of her newest patient. This gripping tale was skillfully crafted by John Petrizzi and Brad Hodson. Notably, seasoned genre producers Philip Kalin-Hajdu (“The Sacrifice Game,” “Game of Death”) and Benoit Beaulieu (“Turbo Kid”) expertly guided the production process.
Film director Adam O’Brien chose a daring one-shot technique to intensify suspense. As he explained, “This movie portrays the most terrifying 90 minutes in our protagonist’s life, and I believed the most impactful way to truly experience this was through a single-take film.” He added, “We stay with her every move she makes – from uncovering the mystery to the shock of her revelation. It’s an exciting, unexpected journey that offers a fresh perspective on exorcisms.
The movie is Delirium Pictures’ newest production, scheduled to make its festival premiere towards the end of 2025.
Previously, our creative team worked together on another horror movie titled “Mom,” which is due to debut in theaters through Uncork’d Entertainment in February next year. This production features Emily Hampshire from “Schitt’s Creek,” François Arnaud from “Marlowe,” and Christian Convery known for his role in “Cocaine Bear.
Blue Finch Films has acquired global distribution rights (excluding Australia and New Zealand) for the buzzworthy animated film “Lesbian Space Princess,” prior to its debut in the Panorama section at the Berlin Film Festival. Their current portfolio also encompasses the horror movie “825 Forest Road” from the creative team behind “Hell House LLC,” the award-winning film “Zero” by Jean Luc Herbulot, and the Indonesian horror flick “The Draft!”, which was screened at Fantastic Fest.
