To mark the arrival of *Superman* on HBO Max, Warner Bros. is adding new features to the streaming service inspired by James Gunn’s first DC Universe film. The movie was a box office success, earning over $615 million worldwide during its time in theaters.
What features is HBO Max getting to celebrate Superman’s streaming debut?
HBO Max is getting a special Superman makeover! For a limited time, the app’s homepage will change to reflect the iconic character, giving subscribers a fresh and interactive experience.
Listed below are the three new Superman-themed features for HBO Max:
- Daily Planet Homepage takeover will feature a refreshed art, style, and specially designed content rails.
- It will also include a fan-focused The Fortress of Solitude page with themed curations.
- There will also be hidden portals throughout the homepage that transport users to Lex Luthor’s Pocket Prison.
James Gunn wrote and directed *Superman*, a film based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The movie features David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, alongside Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and a supporting cast including Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Beck Bennett, María Gabriela de Faría, Sara Sampaio, Anthony Carrigan, Frank Grillo, Edi Gathegi, Isabela Merced, Nathan Fillion, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Neva Howell, Alan Tudyk, Michael Rooker, and Grace Chan.
I’m so hyped for this new Superman movie! From what I’ve read, it sounds like things are really getting tough for him. He’s facing battles everywhere, and people are actually starting to doubt if what he’s doing is right. But Lex Luthor, being the sneaky genius he is, is using Superman’s struggles to try and finally get rid of him. It looks like Lois Lane is going to be a huge part of helping him, along with some other heroes and even Superman’s dog, Krypto! I’m on the edge of my seat wondering if they can save him before Luthor succeeds!
You can start streaming Superman on HBO Max starting Friday, September 19th. Then, you can watch it on HBO with its first television airing on Saturday, September 20th.
