MCU Weekend Post Credits: Wonder Man Now Streaming, Daredevil Season 2 Trailer, Magneto Doomsday Spoilers, And More

All eight episodes of Marvel’s Wonder Man are now available to stream on Disney+, starting January 27th. Starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams and Sir Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery, this new MCU series is receiving high praise. Many viewers, including myself, agree it’s one of the most original and character-focused shows Marvel Studios has produced.

The trailer for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again was released on January 27th. The new season, set to begin streaming on March 24th, will fully launch the conflict between Daredevil and Mayor Fisk. Kristen Ritter will also return as Jessica Jones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Okay, so I was reading about Ian McKellen, and he totally slipped up during an interview! He was talking about his time playing Magneto, and accidentally hinted at something big the character will do in Avengers: Doomsday – apparently, Magneto’s going to cause some serious damage in New Jersey! It’s cool because Ms. Marvel is from New Jersey, and she’s got the X-gene in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so people are already wondering if there’s a connection. It’s a fun little reveal, even if he didn’t mean to say anything!

While promoting his latest film, Send Help, Sam Raimi has been discussing his work on the original Spider-Man trilogy with Tobey Maguire. He previously stated he wasn’t planning to direct another Spider-Man movie, but recently hinted he would be interested in making a fourth film if the opportunity arose, despite his reservations.

Sam Raimi also clarified that the rumor about Rachel McAdams possibly appearing as Black Cat in Spider-Man 4 isn’t true. He said auditions for a female villain never took place, and the only actor he discussed a villainous role with was John Malkovich, who he considered for The Vulture.

There’s good news for fans of Deadpool! According to a recent report from Puck, Ryan Reynolds is actively working on a fourth Deadpool movie after the huge success of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ this year. Reynolds has previously shared ideas for future films, including more team-ups with other Marvel characters or continuing the partnership with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

DCU Weekend Post Credits: Jason Momoa’s Future As Lobo, And New James Gunn DCU Teases

Okay, so I’m a huge Jason Momoa fan, and I was so excited to finally see him as Lobo! He recently said that right now, he only knows for sure that he’ll be in the Supergirl movie coming out this year. But he also hinted that he really wants to see Lobo get his own standalone project eventually, which honestly, YES PLEASE! I’m crossing my fingers that happens!

Okay, so James Gunn just dropped some set photos from the upcoming Superman movie, and I’m losing it! We got a really good look at the offices of the Chocos company – you know, those little chocolate snacks? Apparently, they get wrecked in the first act. But here’s the cool part: in the comics, Chocos are the favorite snack of the Martian Manhunter, J’onn J’onzz! Everyone’s buzzing that this could be a huge hint that we’re finally going to see him join the DC Universe. Seriously, as a comic book fan, I’m so hyped!

James Gunn has come to the defense of screenwriter Christina Hodson following online discussion and criticism. The controversy arose after it was announced Hodson would be writing the script for Brave and the Bold, despite previously working on 2023’s The Flash, Birds of Prey, and the unreleased Batgirl movie. Gunn addressed the situation online this week.

James Gunn responded to criticism of Christina Hodson’s screenwriting by stating that those making those claims likely haven’t actually read her work. He explained that Hodson was involved in the initial planning of the DC Universe. Gunn also pointed out that it’s unfair to evaluate a writer’s skills based on how other directors interpret and change their scripts, as directors often make significant alterations.
