MCU News: New Daredevil Trailers, Doomsday Merch, Tombstone, & More
With the premiere of Daredevil: Born Again season 2 just over a week away, promotional material is ramping up. A recent teaser highlights the escalating conflict between Daredevil and Mayor Fisk as their vigilante war begins in New York City.
New merchandise related to the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie is starting to surface, and a recently discovered keychain seems to offer a first glimpse at Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of Doctor Doom.
A 1930s-inspired version of the Spider-Man villain Tombstone will appear in the upcoming Amazon Prime series Spider-Noir, starring Nicolas Cage. This was revealed through promotional materials for CCXP Mexico 2026, which offered a first look at some of the series’ characters and enemies. Tombstone is a well-known crime boss from the Spider-Man comics.
Interestingly, three different iterations of the Tombstone character will appear across all three of Marvel’s Spider-Man projects coming out this year: Spider-Noir, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and the second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
Paul Bettany, who plays Vision in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently hinted at the upcoming Disney+ series VisionQuest. Speaking with ScreenRant at the Saturn Awards, Bettany mentioned that James Spader will be reprising his role as the villain Ultron in the series, calling his return “delicious.”
Lewis Pullman, who plays Sentry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently discussed the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie in an interview with Esquire. He talked about how the film is managing its huge cast, which currently includes more than 25 confirmed actors.
The Russo brothers are skilled at giving every character a meaningful arc, which helps to develop them fully. They made a point of ensuring that even supporting actors had important roles, recognizing the talent of the incredible cast they assembled. This approach led to many compelling and dynamic interactions between the characters.
As a huge movie fan, I was thrilled to hear Pullman mention that we’re finally going to see some amazing team-ups between different fantasy worlds! Basically, that means the Avengers and the X-Men – and other heroes – could actually share the screen together, which is something a lot of us have been dreaming about for ages.
DCU News: John Stewart in Man of Tomorrow, Peacemaker Season 3 Hopes, & More
Aaron Pierre, who will first appear as Green Lantern John Stewart in the upcoming series Lanterns, is now confirmed to be part of James Gunn’s Man of Tomorrow movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
This news comes just a week after the first trailer for Lanterns was released. It’s interesting to consider how Ryan Reynolds joining the cast as Green Lantern might affect the story for Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner, and also for Isabela Merced’s Hawkgirl – the two characters have a significant romantic relationship in the comics and the Justice League animated series.
Claudia Sarne will compose the music for the new Supergirl movie. This marks the second time the film has changed composers. Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Iron Man) was initially slated to score the movie, but was later replaced by Junkie XL (Mad Max: Fury Road, Zack Snyder’s Justice League), who was then replaced by Sarne (The Book of Eli).
Following Peacemaker’s win for Best Superhero Series at the Saturn Awards, Jennifer Holland (who plays Emilia Harcourt) discussed the possibility of a third season with MUSE TV. While acknowledging the current changes happening at DC, Holland hinted that a third season is still a possibility.
The future of Peacemaker Season 3 depends a lot on what happens with the story beforehand, so we’re waiting to see how things develop.
Zack Snyder recently posted a behind-the-scenes photo from a photoshoot with actor Wayne T. Carr. This appears to be a nod to the release of the first trailer for the upcoming DCU film Lanterns. Carr was intended to play John Stewart in the DCEU version of Green Lantern.
