Brie Larson, who voices Rosalina, is known for being discreet. The Marvel actress secretly filmed a video in May at the opening of Super Nintendo World in Orlando discussing her experience playing the cosmic princess in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
Larson announced on Instagram that she’ll be playing Rosalina in the next Super Mario movie, sharing a video and photos to express her excitement. ‘I’m literally inside a warp pipe right now!’ she said, smiling. ‘This role is a dream come true – I’m going to be in Super Mario Galaxy as Rosalina!’

Nintendo and Universal revealed Chris Pratt will voice Mario during a recent Nintendo Direct presentation. The event also included the first trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and announced Benny Safdie (known for Uncut Gems) will voice Bowser Jr. The trailer is packed with hidden references for fans of the Mario games.
Brie Larson, who plays Captain Marvel, is also a big gaming fan. She famously told a story about ending a relationship because her boyfriend didn’t appreciate how competitive she was while playing Super Mario Galaxy. She’s even appeared in commercials for the Nintendo Switch before.
