Super Bowl 2025 Hits 126 Million Viewers, Most-Watched Ever

For the second consecutive year, the Super Bowl drew its largest-ever viewership: On February 9th, approximately 126 million people tuned in to watch the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs battle it out.

This year’s telecast saw a 2% increase compared to the record-breaking audience that Nielsen reported for last year’s broadcast. The total viewership this time around encompasses audiences from Fox, Fox Deportes, Tubi, Telemundo, and NFL digital platforms, as measured by Nielsen, Fox, and the NFL. In contrast, last year’s 123.7 million viewers were measured across CBS, Paramount+, Nickelodeon, Univision, CBS Sports, and the same NFL digital properties.

During the second quarter of the game, as stated by Fox, the viewership reached its highest point, averaging approximately 135.7 million viewers from 8 to 8:15 PM Eastern Time.

13.6 million viewers watched the Super Bowl on Tubi, setting a new record for simultaneous streaming viewership, while nearly a million more used NFL+ or other NFL-affiliated platforms to catch the game.

Beyond just the game, I must say that the captivating half-time show was a significant pull for the broadcast. As the main act, Kendrick Lamar delivered an impressive performance, notably playing his Grammy record-breaking diss track “Not Like Us,” featuring Drake. He even brought out some star-studded guests such as SZA, Samuel L. Jackson, Serena Williams, and Mustard, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.

During the broadcast, there were plenty of advertisements filled with celebrities, as expected. On YouTube, some of the most popular ads were: one from Booking.com starring the Muppets, a Ram Trucks ad with Glen Powell in a Goldilocks storyline, and an ad for the Google Pixel 9.
