Supacell Actor Dropped From Season 2 After Guilty Plea In Fatal Car Crash

An actor from the Netflix series Supacell has been removed from the show after admitting to a crime. Supacell, a superhero drama that premiered in 2024 to positive reviews, is currently filming its second season in the UK.

When the show Supacell returns, Justin Jude Clarke-Samuel, known as Ghetts, won’t be part of the cast. According to Deadline, this is because he recently admitted to causing a fatal car accident. It’s currently unknown if he had filmed any scenes for the upcoming season.

Ghetts admitted to being responsible for a hit-and-run incident that happened on October 18th when he appeared in court on December 8th.

I’m still reeling from the news. Police reports say the actor, who also raps, was behind the wheel of a BMW speeding through London – allegedly over twice the 30mph limit. Tragically, he hit a young man, 20-year-old Yubin Tamang, who was simply crossing the street. Tamang was rushed to the hospital, but sadly passed away a few days later. It’s a devastating story, and the details are just heartbreaking.

After the hit-and-run, Ghetts drove home instead of stopping, and that’s where police found and arrested him. He’s now in Pentonville Prison, waiting to be sentenced on February 12, 2026, which is in about two months.

Ghetts has built a substantial catalog of music over the years, releasing several albums, EPs, and mixtapes. Some of his notable projects include Rebel with a Cause, Ghetto Gospel: The New Testament, Conflict of Interest, On Purpose, with Purpose, and Forbidden Frequencies.

The musician successfully launched an acting career, starting with the lead role in The Intent 2: The Come Up. In 2024, he played Craig “Krazy” in the Netflix superhero series created by Rapman, Supacell. The show also featured Tosin Cole, Nadine Mills, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Calvin Demba, Josh Tedeku, and Adelayo Adedayo.

The Netflix release of Supacell received fantastic reviews and achieved a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.

This show follows five people living in London who suddenly develop superpowers. They quickly find themselves needing to protect themselves from a shadowy group that wants to exploit their abilities. What connects them all is a family history of sickle cell disease, which appears to be the source of their powers.

The first season of Supacell concluded with Ghetts’ character, Krazy, being shot, leaving his fate uncertain.

Given the dramatic ending, it seems likely that season 2 of Supacell will confirm Krazy’s death from the gunshot. However, viewers will have to wait for the show to return to find out how the story ultimately unfolds.
